Fantasy novelist George R.R. Martin threatened to decapitate an unknown Amazon employee after 180 copies of A Dance with Dragons leaked ahead of the highly anticipated novel’s July 12 release date. Martin blamed Amazon Germany for the mistake.

This is outright yellow "journalism". Saying you will "mount a head on a spike" is hyperbole, and does in NO way really mean cutting off someones head. So instead of explaining his hyperbole, you change it and cause drama and fear. GOOD work. Shameful, shameful journalism.
