The question has shifted from whether or not Casey Anthony is guilty to whether or not Barbara Walters has landed the first sit-down interview with Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez.
The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday that Walters had arranged the interview with Baez. The Florida lawyer ame under intense scrutiny during the trial for his often-bizarre tactics in representing the 25-year-old Anthony, who was acquitted Tuesday of murdering her two-year-old daughter.
According to Deadline Hollywood, however, this will not be Baez's first interview, sit-down or other. Baez spoke to Fox News' Geraldo Rivera "for 20 minutes in a restaurant outside the Orlando courthouse" shortly after the trial came to a verdict on Tuesday afternoon.
Despite this technicality, ABC certainly won't be letting their Baez footage lie low. The network plans to broadcast segments on World News With Diane Sawyer Wednesday in addition to Thursday's episodes of The View and Good Morning America. They'll also be airing a special edition of Nightline Thursday night focusing on the Anthony case.
