Bird Attacks Tiger (VIDEO)

The Huffington Post

Size isn't everything, sometimes it's all about the surprise and even the most ferocious animals can get spooked.

Check out this video to see a tiger, who was just minding his own business, lose his cool when his space is invaded by a feathered friend.

We're not sure what the tiger did, but that's definitely one angry bird.

To you nay sayers of the bird being almost eaten, you just weren't standing at the angle the women was. To her, it looked as though he we're stalking the bird, those noises that looked like it was coming out of the tigers mouth from the camera angle? Those were also from the bird in her angle. Its all about perspective

A lesson learned from the Spanish Armada -- speed and maneuverability overcomes power and size.

The fact that the tiger GOT OUT is the issue. The tiger was able to GET OUT. What part of that don't you get? The tiger was roaming around the zoo grounds. Anyhow, the zoo got fined, fence was not up to code and had to be replaced, zoo director lost job, and it ended badly for the ZOO. So it's a moot point to discuss your personal feelings about it all.

I saw a flock of about a dozen different kinds of smaller birds attacking a red-tailed hawk a couple of weeks ago. One of them became his dinner.

One of our pet cats was always dive bombed by a cat-bird, it'd zoom down and peck them on the back by the tail.

I like the way the idiots that are filming think the tiger almost ate it. The tiger was startled and flinched. What idiots.

When you're new in a prison/zoo you find the biggest guy in the yard and take him down!

That comment made me laugh more than the video.

When I was growing up, our cat raided a birds nest in a tree, and ate a newly hatched baby bird. The mother bird attacked the cat incessantly afterwards, top of the head with a beak peck and then flew away. The cat was afraid to go out for a while. That's when I learned how deeply a mother's love is ingrained into our genetics.

I too had the thought this cat might have found a fledgling in the compound and disposed of it.  Crows won't forget that.

Oh to be a bird. License to taunt and fly away!

Big wuss! My cat wouldn't take that kind of smack from a bird

I like how brave the tiger gets AFTER the bird flys away. Like, "yeah, and don't come back!"
