Hugh Laurie Is The New Face Of L'Oreal Paris (VIDEO)

Hugh Laurie can add beauty product endorser to his resume. The "House" star has signed on to be a celebrity spokesperson for L'Oreal Paris' Men Expert line of cosmetics.

Laurie is not alone as a brand ambassador. He is joining fellow studs, Gerard Butler and Patrick Dempsey, who have already signed on to endorse the line of male beauty products. According to The London Independent L'Oreal's global brand president, Cyril Chapuy shared their rationale for choosing Laurie, describing him as "the perfect example of a modern man: genuine, uninhibited, strong and willing to pursue his passions to the end."

The 51-year-old actor is known for having a good sense of humor, and although he doesn't seem to be taking his new model status too seriously he isn't ashamed to endorse skincare products.

"At first I thought it was a mistake but then I realized that L'Oreal wasn't looking for models, but real people with strong personalities, who are worth it... and who aren't afraid to proclaim that using cosmetics can be a very masculine decision after all," he said.
