Jennifer Aniston On 'Inside The Actors' Studio': Talks 'Friends,' 'The Breakup,' More (VIDEO)

Aniston New Ring

First Posted: 07/06/11 05:21 PM ET Updated: 09/05/11 06:12 AM ET

Having recently been named the next recipient of a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star, Jennifer Aniston is moving on to the next stop on the certified legendary actor train: a visit to "Inside The Actors' Studio."

With nearly two decades of Hollywood dominance under her belt -- and a new career direction with her upcoming raunchfest of a film, "Horrible Bosses" -- Aniston took time to reflect on the role that truly launched her to superstardom.

"It's one of the greatest jobs I ever had," Aniston said of her NBC sitcom, "Friends." "It gave me everything. It gave me this ridiculously blessed life and career and taught me so much, and it's the best time I ever had."

The love she felt for the show made it quite difficult to film that final episode.

"It was just awful. The last scene, we just wept, cried our eyes out, in front of the whole show," she said. "A couple of us stayed really late and we crawled up to the roof of stage 24 and we drank champagne and just watched the sunrise. It was really wonderful."

When it came to launching a movie career, one of her first huge hits was "The Breakup," with Vince Vaughn. In it, she played one half of a couple that splits up, but loves their apartment so much, ends up cohabitating -- very gingerly. While her emotion for the show informed her final day on "Friends," it was her personal life -- (see: Pitt, Brad) -- that helped her make her "Break Up" performance memorable.

"It was just a beautiful story about a couple breaking up. And I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue. And I sort of honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exorcise some of that," she said. "I enjoyed it. It really enjoyed it. You would think otherwise, because even the producers were like, 'I don't know if we should ask you to do this,' but I was like, why not? Turn the page, let's move on."

The episode airs Monday at 8 PM on Bravo.

Her movies are not good. Didn't like "Rumor has It" or "The Breakup". I'm pretty sure there's others that aren't too good either. She did get lucky...she's rich, but she's not really a good actress..she's just OK (so there's the luck). Sort of 1-dimensional...which is nothing to brag about. Those folks are a dime a dozen.

I love how some people think that Jennifer Aniston cannot speak about "HER" life when asked a question in an interview. Lipton simply asked her why she took the role in "The Breakup" and she in turn simply cracked a joke about "Why not since she had some experience with that." Brad was her husband, they did get divorced and it is part of her life story. She did not mention her marriage or Brad directly. All you whackos out there who insist on dragging Brad, Angelina and Jennifer into some phantom competition really need to get a life. They have all moved on and all three are healthy, happy and living life as they see fit. I suggest all you Brangelinagoons find a new topic to obsess over.

JA may be adored by some. Shes cute and warrants sympathy because of her breakup, but will never be an A lister as an actress, even if she receives a Star.

I don't feel sorry for her - I think shes well rid of BP. Actresses - I feel sorry for Salama Hayek - whose husband has unprotected s@x all over the place and seems to be sexually unaware of things.

Still seems a lot of her fans felt for her because of the sympathy factor.

Anistion groupies in the media industry and on social sites make every effort to manufacture Anistion an image and legacy greater than her simple comedy role on Friends.

Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Bono, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Cat Stevens, Dixie Chicks, Harry Belafonte, John Lennon, etc…all had socially conscious careers that naturally evolved and grew into prominence parallel to their profession. Anistion, has no such legacy.

All should wait until this middle age Anistion do something worthy of all this free attention.

Socially conscious careers - many, many people do charity and yes celebs also do charity too - most of them in fact - The Peace Corps etc are socially conscious groups - if I was looking to be inspired by people with regards to charity - I wouldn't be that shallow to look at an ultra rich celeb for guidance.

I'd look at the Peace Corps members who go the poorest places in the third world for a year at a time and teach in the schools there - I'd look at the doctors who work for free as part of doctors without borders - not at celebs of all people for guidance

My comment was a comparison/contrast to those pushing Anistion, compared to the unheralded deeds of true activist celebrities.

On the subject of role models for social conscious works, I need not look any further than my mother and my own personal contributions, and is not limited to a "shallow" admiration of rich celebrities' charity.

Also the official movie site needs a response page for people who actually watched the movie and a place for them to comment about their own experiences with Horrible Bosses - with no real names given of course.

Must say - and more pictures and poster downloads as well - the Old Spice Guy needs a poster too - Just saying.

So far the official site gets a B from me

Jennifer only got the Friends audition because her dad is in TV and her Godfather was Telly Savalas. Can you say Nebatism? She can't act to save her life. I liked her in friends though ( except for the whining and crying, but it seems what she is best at.) Lately I find her a total bore and her movies stink. YAWN.

She is very funny on Friends and has excellent timing.

Jennifer does a fake accent - brilliant timing

Jennifer and Christina Applegate

She has very good chemistry with most of her comedic costars.

Its very clear why she got the job - if she was that good in the audition - then its clear why she got the job - Some people are always trying to make her success about something or someone else.

Your comment would have more validity if you knew how to spell. It is "nepotism" NOT "nabatism".

Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie Voight Pitt, and William "Brad" Bradley Pitt are the three best actors and actresses ever in history.

I hope my post can make fans of all of them happy ..... even though it isn't true

Really? Was she not asked about brad in the interview?
Have you not made 4,785 comments on her being asked about
Brad in the interview?

Another inane, not steeped in reality post by Aniston o-bsessed "Said One".

I like Jen. I also like Angie and Brad.

I don't have to live with any of them, so I don't understand the rather childish remarks about any of them.

Or, are you all incredibly jealous of something and someone you will never be? I don't understand the sniping at people who have never done anything to hurt any of you. Grow up.

I wish AJ and BP fans would stay on their threads instead of inanely linking BP and AJ to each and every JA thread for no reason at all- I don't like them because of things unrelated to JA - the overexposure of their kids and the fake charity - hence the reason I'm not on THEIR threads

"July 05, 2011, (Sawf News) - Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker earned $30 million each between May 2010 and May 2011 topping the Forbes list of Hollywood's highest earning actresses.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were close behind with $28 million each...."

That list takes into account the money she still gets every year from Syndicated Friends reruns.

Read all the comments, liked some, agreed with others, see some people can't help hating Brad and Angie. People breakup everyday of the week. Brand and Angie have been together longer than Aniston's marriage to Brad. And when they are interviewed they make it a point to draw boundaries. Aniston can't get enough of bitching about her failed marriage. Whent Angie mentioned Mr & Mrs Smith and hoping to tell her kids that's where Mommy and Daddy met -- Aniston immediately comes out with a comment that Angie was insensitive. Really? But she goes on Chelsey Lately's show and moans to her new best friend about losing Brad and garbage mouth gets up on some stage and verbally attacks Angie and her adopted kids. The fact is that Aniston could move on, she talks about it, she claims she has, but she brings up Brad's name every chance she gets and makes it a point to tell reporters that they still talk on the phone and that they are friends -- doubt that. I have nothing against her, but she is a bore, dreadful one note-actress, same lame expressions. The Kardashians and Paris Hilton have shown more skin than Aniston and it sometimes feels as though she does it in hopes that Brad might catch a glimpse and want back. Dream on girl -- he has what makes happiness, children and someone by his side who equals his passion for giving.

well said, you forgot to add that Jenifer is a hatchet face who looks like jay leno with a wig
07:25 PM on 07/09/2011
Angie didn't say that's where Mommy and Daddy met. She said that's where Mommy and Daddy fell in love. It was insensitive, but I'm sure Angie wasn't thinking. I like Brad and Angie; great couple. They seem to be well-suited for one another. Brad outgrew Jen. If not Angie, it would have been someone else. Jen is a great person. She's moved on. Everybody else should.

Awww, cut the woman some slack. I'm such a fan of Jolie and Pitt that I could be legitimately called a "Brangeloon," but admiring Jolie and Pitt as humanitarians and artists doesn't justify bashing Aniston. In fact, given the Jolie-Pitt apparent worldview, I doubt they want fans who are so hateful. All three seem to have moved on. Perhaps its time their so-called fans did too.
02:18 AM on 07/10/2011
Don't remember when I last agreed with a post more than this. You said exactly, but more sucinctly, what I was thinking. While I might not exactly concider myself a huge fan, I do think the three of them are all quite talented. And certainly, I admire the ethos of Jolie and Pitt. You're right, they do seem to have moved on.
