What a lovely woman. The Ramona Quimby books made me begin to love reading from an early age. I wouldn't have been the same person without them.

As a child, I used to lose myself in her books. I wish there were a way I could personally thank Ms. Cleary for instilling my lifelong love of reading. Since I can't, I'll do my best to pass along that same appreciation to my own child...a tribute to a great lady.

I loved the Beverly Cleary books when I was growing up. I am surprised she is still alive. She brought me much joy from reading her books as a youth. In fact she sparked a love of reading that still is important to me today.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Henry Huggins and Ribsy and the gang too. I reccommended them to my nieces and nephews. What wonderful stories to grow up on,
