It used to be just a portion of the right-wing establishment was beneath contempt. It appears that the whole lot of them have jumped in the pool and are covered head to toe with filth. I ask and ask and ask and ask and either get no response at all or illogical responses as to why anyone not making a million a year would support the republicans as we know them today.
05:29 PM on 07/11/2011
Could it be that the responses are logical and you can't understand them. it may simply be an IQ thing ,and not your fault.DOn't be discouraged.

The GOP in Wisconsin is creating a large number of disenfranchised angry people with little to loose. Who do you think they will blame when the inevitable violence erupts?
05:35 PM on 07/11/2011
1) I don't think the violence is inevitable. You seem to wish it
2) People will target the people committing the violent acts.I'm surprised you had to ask.

3)Diffidently, I have to ask if you could explain how people in Wisconsin ("Large numbers") are disenfranchised?

Whose surprised by this, thats the only way they can win. Dirty tricks, lies, misinformation, I mean when thats all you've got I guess you've got to give it a try. The repuds are running scared, they know that they're going to lose control and they're scared, so is snotty, he won't have the rubber stampers to help him skru over his state.

These GOP dirty tricks are an admission that they don't think they can win the election fairly and that they do not represent the wishes of the voters. Why does the GOP hate democracy?

When has the GOP played fair in any election?. Since Nixon dirty tricks has been their behind the scenes effort to cheat in elections. If it's not lying directly to the public it's dirty tricks. At least Nixon had the good sense to resign. Makes him more honorable than the rest of these misanthropes.

Oh, and let's not forget that those voting machines are made by Republican corporations pledged to bring the vote to the GOP and our Supreme Court to bringing the Presidency to the Republicans with any controversy.

Why win honorably when you can cheat and have a sure thing.

If it's sleazy it's at the top of the republican play book. They don't do well in fair fights..

The GOP can use this as an opportunity to try out new dirty tricks before the 2012 general election.

Why is the Republican argument, "It's not illegal. Therefore it's not deceptive."? It is deceptive. It is dishonest. It is underhanded.

The republicans are right about voter fraud.

Who knew...

I've heard very little of voter fraud on the "other side".

Dirty Tricks?

Is that anything like fleeing the state in order to purposefully thwart the Democratic process you took an oath to uphold and collecting pay and benefits for the weeks that you hid out in a motel out of state?
10:25 AM on 07/11/2011
No, nothing like that at all. In fact, the dems were protecting the democratic process when they left.

Unlike the th*gs you support.

consequence, Yes, lets do talk about the "oath to uphold"

And lets start by the republicans that decided to take the Oath Of Koch.

Rather than taking the oath to uphold and serve.....

Republicans chose to severe any voters / workers ability participate in the political process. all for the sake of the Koch Bros.Oath.

And you're complaining about the dems that took leave in order to save the State from being handed over to a select few.

So when you mention oath, lets be perfectly honest and up front about which Oath you are referring to.

I was up in Menomonee Falls visiting my brother's family for July 4th. They had their parade on July 3rd. Alberta Darling, one of the recalled Republican state senators was in the parade.

It was interesting to see that nowhere on her signs, on the T-shirts, or in the literature did it mention that she's a Republican. What a weasel!

The Democrat who is running, Pasch, had Democrat on her stuff.
12:34 PM on 07/11/2011
Stealth is one of the republicans tools. They think it's best if people don't really know who they are or what they plan to do or until they get in office so they can spring it on them. Anything to get elected don't you know? If they were honest about things they would never get elected.

This includes lying to their constiuents. Just use the abortion, illegals, gays, patriot, family value words and you get elected. Hide everything else from view including all your conflicts of interest and who really financially supports your campaign.

The democrats ran a fake 'tea party' candidate in the last NY congressional race and that fake candidate siphoned off enough votes for the democrat to win.
So after showing their hand the democrats are now shocked that republicans decided to use the same tactics??

The story is about Wisconsin, not NY!

The morally bankrupt practice that the WisGOP embraced has NOT been a common one in Wisconsin politics. Fair-minded Wisconsinites of all political leanings; are disgusted by the tactic and angry over the unnecessary (except to Republican politicos) cost to the taxpayer: almost $450,000 ($117,000 in my district alone).

This is why, when you hear the words "open primary," you can assume there is some GOP master of disaster in the background cackling and rubbing his hands together. The same goes for "term limits." If the Republicans can find a way to alter or suspend the constitution to benefit themselves, you will see it. The real pity is, there are enough deluded people out there to make their shoddy tricks work.

Farmers cultivate crops and rear animals, fishermen catch fish, nurses and doctors provide health care, teachers teach our children, pastors preach.. and Republicans? They a lie and cheat..

The WI GOP will probably offer a shot of whisky and a box of shells to any voter who
shows up to vote the way the GOP wants. These tactics are right out of
'Bleeding Kansas' of the 1850's and Dixie tactics of the past sixty years.

The GOP can resort to any dirty tricks. Will not prevent what is imminent. Witness AZ's SITTING SENATE PRESIDENT PEARCE BEING RECALLED LAST FRIDAY! Yes. The man who sponsored SB1070. Recalled by Dems, Indies and Repubs alike - he was too extreme for his district and the state.
