A French TV car swerved into three cyclists during Sunday's stage of the 2011 Tour de France, causing one of the many crashes that occurred in what the Associated Press called its "worst day yet of crashes." Two of the cyclists went flying and bruised the legs of rider Juan Antonio Flecha.
RadioShack rider Janez Brajkovic quit the Tour de France after crashing in the fifth stage.
Spain's Alberto Contador and Levi Leipheimer of the United States have also been involved in crashes.
Two-time Tour runner-up Andy Schleck said that it's "too bad to see riders crashing out of the race like this."
