Which Charities Get Profits From Final News Of The World Edition?

At least some good came from the News Of The World scandal.

The paper announced that three charities would receive equal shares of the profits from its final edition.

Third Sector reports that Barnardo's, the Forces Children's Trust, and military projects at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity will get the money, which is expected to be a six figure sum for all three charities.

74 pence of every pound of the newspaper's cover price will go to the three organizations, according to CNN. The rest of the profits go to the retailer who sells the paper and the wholesaler who delivers it, according to an unnamed source.

The World has been rocked by a phone hacking scandal that lead to the paper folding.
