Emma Watson Goes Bold In Bottega Veneta To New York 'Harry Potter' Premiere (PHOTOS, POLL)

After picking a princess-worthy, Oscar de la Renta gown for her London premiere, Emma Watson stepped out in a bold number by Bottega Veneta to open "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" in New York City on Monday night.

The dress -- part canvas corset, part satin skirt -- first hit the runway in February at the label's fall/winter 2011 show in Milan.

Emma topped off her outfit with Lorraine Schwartz earrings and a side-parted, slicked-down 'do.

I liked the silhouette from the side; it gave a very bustle-esque impression especially coupled with the bottom of the fold in front. However, the dress needed more, yet smaller pleats in the front to balance it out. The pleats were too large for her frame, and spaced too far apart. It looked like someone safety pinned a tent to the bottom of her bodice because she lost her skirt or something.

I think she looks fabulous from the waist up. Do not care for the gold fabric used as an afterthought. Her face and hair is wonderfully fresh and sweet.

My vote on this red carpet look: Emma is beautiful, dramatic, as usual. The BV dress is really bad, and horribly mismanages Emma's lovely figure.

From the chin up is amazing. I love short hair on Emma Watson. It's so great for her face. And I pretty much just love her, period. But I have a hard time imagining anyone pulling off that dress, even if it was fitted correctly on her. That skirt makes her look so much wider than she is!

I usually do not prefer short hair on woman, but Emma Watson is one of the few woman who pulls this bold look off marvelously. As for the dress it would have been better if the top of the dress was either the same color as the bottom or a more complimently color with the bottom gold. In addition I cannot wait for the last Harry Potter movie to come out Friday.

She has turned into a beautiful young lady and no matter what she puts on, she looks stunning!
