Brian Wilson All-Star Game Interview: 'There Are Garden Gnomes Cutting Down Trees [In My Beard]' (VIDEO)

Giants Star Pitcher At It Again

The funniest man in baseball, and arguably the funniest man in sports, was at it again on Tuesday night during a post-All-Star game interview with ESPN's Pedro Gomez.

Wilson, who's talented arm and bizarre antics have landed him interviews on late night talk shows and even made him the topic of a Sports Illustrated feature (The article was appropriately titled, 'Three Quarters Nuts'), began his exchange with Gomez conventional enough, discussing the game itself. But things quickly took a turn for the hilarious with Gomez's mic strayed a little too close to Wilson's award winning beard.

Gomez said he didn't want to get in there with whatever else is in Brian Wilson's beard, to which Wilson responded, without missing a beat naturally, "Well, there are garden gnomes cutting down trees and apparently there's an Irish gig lady dancing. I haven't met her yet, but she's in this quadrant," at which point Wilson pointed to the right side of his beard (clearly referring to this commercial). From there, Wilson went right back into the interview discussing the Giants starting rotation, never once breaking character, and leaving us all to guess as to if he in fact is in character in front of the media, or if he just has a natural essence that brings to mind Zach Galifianakis' character in "The Hangover."

The post-game interview fortunately wasn't Wilson's only camera-time during the All-Star Break. He sat in with the crew from the MLB network the night before. You can watch the video of Wilson, in which he discussed a "14 star restaurant."
