'Cowboys & Aliens' Clip: Daniel Craig Punches Harrison Ford (VIDEO)

First Posted: 07/13/11 05:19 PM ET Updated: 09/12/11 06:12 AM ET

Before they get to work fighting off the invading aliens, Jake Lonergan and Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde are going to have to settle their own significant rivalry.

In the new clip from "Cowboys & Aliens," that hasn't quite happened yet.

Lonergan, played by Daniel Craig, and Dolarhyde, played by Harrison Ford, have to face down a strange new invader in this sci-fi/western mashup directed by Jon Favreau. A number of trailers have been released, and even more excitingly, Favreau has produced a number of stellar interview with cast and producers for The Huffington Post.

To see his interview with Ford, click here; for a chat with Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg and Brian Glazer, go here; and for the most recent talk, with Olivia Wilde, click here.

The film hits July 29th.

This is a departure for Harrison and it does expand his resume with this latest piece. And when you look at it with the stills, he somewhat reminds you of Gary Copper if Harrison were to play the sheriff in a remake of High Noon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dH0i2AdYAb4
Still, Harrison will always be linked to the sci-fi world with Star Wars and Bladerunner and now this. Of course Jack Ryan was good as well and he made that his own too after Alec Baldwin walked away from it. If fact, when you look back on Harrison's career, there were hits and misses but there were more memorable iconic parts. This may not be one of them but now that I thought about it, I would like for him to tackle the Gary Cooper part in High Noon.

Sorry looks like yet another ridiculously stupid "Hollywood Thriller" with old hack movie stars making way more money than they're worth. Why not pay less for the "Super Stars" spend the money on new comers with talent and lower ticket prices while most of America is tightening up their belts?
