Yes, Congresswoman Bachmann is surging in GOP polls. But I suspect that her prospects in the 2012 general election are eroding as we speak, given recent revelations about her husband, her church, and her extreme social views. What plays well in CornHole, Iowa doesn't necessarily play well in Cleveland and Philly.

Well, the Democratic caucuses were pretty well played by Obama. It's the pesky Christianists who will believe anything that don't play well with others.

Let's assume Michele is leading the GOP pack by a huge 50% margin. Does that mean she will get the nomination? Not by a long shot. The Republican party is a party of crusty old men who believe in a partriarchal society. They are not about to select a woman for the top spot. If she is looking good to the electorate, watch for the party to undermine her themselves. Also, the party leadership knows that running against other Republicans is the easy part. Running against candidates from other parties, she is just plain unelectable.

Perhaps Marcus and Michele Bachmann could send help to someone who can help others.

Baggers, she doesnt have a chance! The Republican Party will never give Looney Tunes the nomination! You have a better chance of getting Pee-Wee Herman elected!

She's surging, apparently along with the idiocy of the GOP electorate.

Not to worry. Lets not forget that Donald Trump was ahead in the polls once upon a time as well.

She said she is not focused about negativity on TV yesterday....LOL!!!

What a 180 degree turnaround? her whole life has been just about that so far.

Just another poll of a few thousand rabid believers means nothing, absolutely nothing in the national picture. She will fail in the primaries early and run back to St. Paul-Stillwater to take her old seat back and torment America even more with her outlandish attacks.

I never pay attention to the polls anymore. Over the years I noticed that in reality the people doing the polling only call 500 to 3000 people and then proclaim "a majority of Americans"... There are over 300 million people in the US and 3000 does not a majority make. Also in the past few years the pollsters stopped divulging how many people participated in the poll.

I skimmed the article and didn't see how many were in the poll. For all we know it was only Michelle and her groupies.

Just another way to spin the facts.

Please let her continue this hilarious run to nowhere. She splits the GOP base and is a never-ending blooper machine. She is draining time, money, and effort from electable GOP candidates while she is totally unelectable. Go Michelle!
