Zanger Rinus And Romana Chill On A Scooter In Bizarre Dutch Music Video (VIDEO)

Every once in a while a mythical beast of a YouTube video comes along where you can't tell if the people in it are kidding or being 100% serious. Thus is the case with this scooter-heavy musical number starring Zanger Rinus (or "singer Rinus" in Dutch) and his friend Romana.

He has no official artist page, but does have an unofficial fan site maintained by some admirers and a Facebook fan page with more than 80 members. Could this be a Dutch guy trying to make it big, or is it just a couple of goofballs making videos in their yard?

We may not know for sure, but that's not gonna stop us from watching.

UPDATE: We finally got the scoop on Zanger Rinus and his videos are completely genuine. We can say that he has been doing this for years, is mentally challenged and we think it's awesome that he has the bravery to put himself out there. More please!

Hi, Zanger Rinus is not joking, he''s very serious and still thinks he can sing! But he can't , but he thinks he can! There are a lot of people who like him and thinks he can sing, but most of the people think it's a joke. Please Rinus: stop singing because you can't!

How dare you guys make fun of our musical genius Rinus? That guy is just a genious.
You all have to do it with Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, but we got the phenomenon Rinus, he is our God.
We even have better rappers over here in the Netherlands. Our own MC Dark(who is adored in every country in Europe, Asia and the ME) can beat any American rapper in a rap battle.

this man is the spiriual leader of the Netherlands, the amount of women he gets by enchanting them with his magical voice is off the hook.

The legacy of Zanger Rinus:
It started out with "Hey Marlous" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGvOYo8gS7Y) in which he announced his love for a girl named Marlous, with whom he would like to take a shower. He knows he can't reach her, but he doesnt care what people say. His girlfriend is starring in the video (Romana?). You can really see the romantic influence of Victor Hugo.

Then the Dutch hero Rinus had his next song "Verliefd op het meisje van de oliebollenkraam" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R0FyucySDQ&feature=related
Is about his love for a girl who works at a donuts stall (oliebollenkraam). He saw her at the county fair and she'll never let him go (ritsie bi, ritsie baa, ritsie boem). Here he perfectly combines Dutch folklore songs and the ancient Dutch tradition of oliebollen (sort of donut).

"Verliefd op het meisje van de oliebollenkraam" really launched Rinus to stardom, he has shows all over the Netherlands nowaddays. Notice his charactirising dance, the 'wave' with his hands.

I hope you all have a better understanding of the singer, musical phenomenon, and vocal legend that is known as 'zanger Rinus'.

I didn't know the Dutch where so uptight...loosen up guys...yes this guy is mentaly challenged...yes this guy doens't look like the perfect adonis and he's not realy a good singer...but who cares...! The guy is having fun, he's forcing nobody to watch his video...and he's getting more media attention than most guys who (think they) can sing...I say kudo's for Rinus...asshamed to be Dutch when reading most reply's here...proud to be Dutch when watching Rinus having fun on his scooter, at the carnival or under the shower (some other Rinus hits).

Go Rinus...make us famous in the US for your talent to entertain many :D
