Jon Stewart Mocks Marcus Bachmann, Gets Help From Jerry Seinfeld With 'Comedy Repression Therapy' (VIDEO)

Comedians are obviously starting to take note of Michele Bachmann's husband Dr. Marcus Bachmann and his controversial gay repression therapy clinic. As Jon Stewart proved on Wednesday night's "Daily Show," it's just too easy to associate the doctor's desire to "pray the gay away" with jokes about him having a repressed sexuality. So easy, in fact, that Jerry Seinfeld had to come on the show and do a little therapy of his own to help Stewart repress his comedic desires.

At the top of the show, Stewart worked up to his bit with Seinfeld by marveling at Dr. Bachmann's behavior, from his advice that a young gay man remain celibate to his calling bi-curious teenagers "barbarians" that must be "disciplined." But it was footage of him dancing that really set Stewart off:

"That's Michele Bachmann's husband? Is he teaching people not to be gay or is he like the 'Green Mile' guy, just absorbing it all?

Stewart understood that although he thinks Bachmann "does real damage to real people" with his therapy and is "An Izod shirt away from being the gay character on 'Modern Family,'" he must repress his deep desire to comically exploit him. But it's hard, which is why Seinfeld comes in ready to join Stewart at his desk, slap him a few times and help him turn his comedic instincts off.

"You weren't born this way!" Seinfeld pleaded like a bizarro Lady Gaga.

A lot of you folks sound like a bunch of bullies I remember in school. They would call kids gay and a lot of those children didn't like that. They got embarrased or scared to get involved in school, and they got distracted from the real reason they were there--TO LEARN!

How about us adults do the right thing and stop this vicious cycle of homophobia/bullying. Be open to love anybody, treat people with respect, and your children will follow suite.

It may well be that the Bachmanns' are right and that it is a choice. What if in fact it's contagious? This spells doom for the nation and Dr. Bachmann.

Jon and Jerry, they could make ice cream together if the comedy business becomes too tough for them or they're infected with the gayitis virus.

What a waste of time on the part of the Bachmanns, I'm only surprised they have not yet been sued for what they're doing at their clinic.

The damage done must be incalculable. No professional board certified shrink would ever attempt what this guy is doing. Arguendo: if in fact one can be cured of their "gayness" then what's to stop anyone from converting straight men into homosexuals?

Do not tell me that's why we have prisons, they are not professionals.

No, that's not the case. He is a classic closet case. They come in a few varieties; some are really butch. They're the ones who will stare a a hot guy and when he looks back yell, "Hey what are you looking at?" It is hilarious for this fool not to know that walls of his closest are made of glass.

I knew Paul Lynde -- not a pleasant experience -- and Marcus Bachmann makes Paul look straight.
