AnnaLynne McCord Of 90210 One Of 'Strongest Young Female Philanthropists' In Hollywood

AnnaLynne McCord of "90210" may be getting lots of attention for her new relationship with "Prison Break" actor Dominic Purcell, there's more to report on the actress than how she looks in a bikini.

Though she's played a troubled vixen on-screen, she's more of a do-gooder at heart and is well-respected for her humanitarian work. Look To The Stars, a compendium of celebrity giving, has lauded her philanthropic efforts:

"Best known for her portrayals of Eden Lord on Nip/Tuck and Naomi Clark on 90210, AnnaLynne McCord is one of the strongest young female philanthropists standing up in Hollywood and fighting for the charities she believes in."

McCord recently supported the Los Angeles launch of PROJECT FUTURES, which joins young professionals, volunteers and activists to fight human trafficking and modern-day slavery.

But she doesn't have patience for the contrived celebrity giving scene, she said in an interview with Look to the Stars.

"I think a lot of times in Hollywood, people have celebrities come and they go all out and get cars for the celebrities and I'm like I'm sorry, it's for a fundraiser you can drive yourself. I can tend to be a hard ass, but I really believe if you truly want to be there for charity, get yourself there or I don't want your time."

She's also worked for years with the St. Bernard Project, which rebuilds homes for Katrina victims.

In 2005, McCord entered the St. Bernard Project into a Pepsi Refresh Celebrity Challenge for a $250,000 prize, according to Star Pulse. And they won.

And her activism on behalf of Katrina victims hasn't subsided, USA Today reports:

"For the last couple of years, I've worked to bring awareness to New Orleans...to help these people feel like America hasn't forgotten them."
