Glenn Beck Prays For Fox News, Laughs About Sean Hoare's Death (AUDIO)

Glenn Beck laughed about the death of a whistleblower involved in the phone hacking scandal and asked listeners to "pray" that Fox News was not involved in the crisis.

On his Tuesday show, Beck joked about the death of Sean Hoare, who was the first journalist to go on the record about the phone-hacking crisis at the News of the World in a 2010 New York Times article. Hoare was found dead in his London home on Monday. Beck said he loved the story of the death.

"I'm not saying that foul play was involved, but it is suspicious that he's dead," Beck said, laughing. (On Tuesday, police categorically concluded that no third party was involved in Hoare's death.)

He then joked that Vladimir Putin was involved in the death, before turning to Fox News, which, like the News of the World, is owned by News Corp.

Beck said he was worried that the scandal would be used by opponents of Fox News to try and bring it down, but that, as far as he knew, there had never been a hint of a scandal at the network.

"Pray that that is so and that they are thwarted," Beck said. "...They will use this and it will shut down."

Yes Glenn, we're sure you're praying your little heart out that Fix News goes
unscathed. The Murdoch crew in this country will probably avoid any trouble since a free
press is guaranteed by the Constitution. But being legal doesn't excuse the mudslinging and lying that are the foundation of Fix's format.

My two cents... Typical leftist spin (consider the soruce "Huffington Post) -- Beck was NOT laughing about the death of Sean Hoare, he was using his typical sarcasm about the "coincidence" of his death after whistleblowing a news organization. This is not just about Fox News, but everything to do with corruption in the media as a whole. (Do you really believe none of the other media sources have done these kinds of things?) This is just another excuse for the current adinistration to control the media even more than it already does.

Joking = laughing. No wait, actually joking > laughing, because first comes the joke and then comes the laugh (hopefully from someone other than just yourself). Well maybe others have done them as well, but as of now none of them have been caught. Keep on defending the indefensible though.

Ture that it seems he is laughing at the authorities rather than the death itself. However, considering some of the things Beck has said in the past one can not be entirely sure he wasn't laughing in the hopes this death would stop the investigations short of finding FOX guilty of something similar. After all, they are a Murdock company and we all know the sort of journalism (sic) Murdock is proficient at presenting . . . the Bat Boy . . . Elvis flying alien spaceships . . . etc., etc, etc..

"SIC" is used incorrectly here. if you mean that it isn't really journalism you should put it in quotes, as in Fox News "journalists". Sic means the previous word is spelled incorrectly because it was spelled incorrectly by the original source.
