LeBron James' Highlight Reel Dunk Off Backboard: Heat Star Shines At Ohio Summer League Game (VIDEO)

Lebron James

Fans in Warrensville Heights, Ohio expected to see a run-of-the-mill summer league game over the weekend. But that was before the state's public enemy number one and current Miami Heat star LeBron James decided to make a surprise appearance.

Almost a year after announcing his decision, King James was back in an Ohio gymnasium, this time dazzling fans with his remarkable play and a few highlight reel dunks.

One dunk in particular must have given the Cavs fans in the building flashbacks to James' back-to-back MVP seasons in Cleveland. During a fast break, James threw the ball off the backboard, and then slammed it down with his head nearly rim-level, while running full-speed. While the stuff was most definitely a treat for the fans it attendance, you have to wonder if it also served as a reminder of what could have been.

l j was just going thru a learning phase with the heat last season it will get better..l j came from a team in which he had to do everything and with the heat he was trying to play off of d wade, these guys will click and when it does watch out.l j has the ability to take over a game at any time i think he was guilty of trying to be to much of a team player and when he does this he puts the brakes on,take your foot off the brake pedal l j and then listen to these same people say u r a ball hog. good luck in trying to find that happy medium...

I'm sorry, but he has had 7 YEARS to learn to close a game! Get real.

Wow....really embarrassing. After the choke/fade/disappearance in the Finals, he should not look happy about chumping all over some college/summer camp kids. 2 trips to the finals and nada to show for it.....SHHHHHHHHH!

He lost in the finals yeah, but he's just trying to get past it and having a little fun in the process. There's no reason for him to hide his head anywhere. If he entertains some people, then it's all for the better.

Why do people just make things up... Yes Lebron was god awful this finals in the 4th Qtr..... For his career he is one of the top three in the NBA in playoff and regular season and in 4th quarter in final he is close to Kobe. All of you arm chair couch-letes are not even arguing from a place of truth. Remember when he scored like 20 straight in 4th qtr to defeat detroit? Remember all his game winners? No, I really think its miserable people trying to make someone else miserable.

He's the Tony Romo of the NBA....huge when it matters little, choke when the big games count. Can't change that except by winning it all.

He is only 26. he chocked this finals and in two games vs. boston year before. Other than that he is a proven closer.

I think he will get titles but both you and I cannot tell the future.

The fact is he is one of the top 3 players in the NBA and no hater can take that from him.

These sorry haters on here are funny... Did you hear him at the end... 20 miles on the bike this morning.

Lebron is a great ball player that has one area to improve on. Confidence in closing out the opponenet. He is only 26 and will probably win multiple championships..... to bad fat lazy jelous people continue to hate on thius young man.

he has a tremendous work ethic and has stayed out of trouble with the law, seems to be a good dad and plays hard. I hope he is able to work on not having the other team take his confidence and matures a little bit.

He wil be fine. Now let me return to my same problems... lol.

Wow... LeBron plays well against Summer League competition... what an accomplishment.

It is actually his style of play here, that he brings onto the court during the regular season which really holds him back from reaching his full potential. Talent-wise, he might beat anyone who ever lived... but talent isn't all their is to being the best.

Hey LeBron, everyone in Dallas thinks it was a great dunk but lets see you do it when it really counts. Oh, right the NBA finals are over so its okay to come out and play.

Who's Huffpo's sports editor, Maverick Carter? Awesome, he dunked on some bums from Cleveland...wish they had had a good GM...he could've brought in a few Mavs and LeBum Lames would've stood in the corner biting his nails and crapping the bed.
