Justin Bieber Taking a Month Off: Wants Time to 'Think, Pray and Grow Up'

Life is pretty hard when you're on top--or at least that's what Justin Bieber says. From selling out Madison Square Garden and fighting teenage texting and driving, to having a number one movie and practically the biggest fragrance launch ever, the Biebs can literally do no wrong.

But here's some good news for all of the other entertainers and entrepreneurs out there: Bieber is taking a break--but only for a month because he has to get back in the recording studio and start making his second full-length record, which is sure to rule the charts.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the teen dream opens up about what he plans to do with all of his newfound free time. That is, when he's not crashing weddings with his girlfriend, Disney starlet Selena Gomez.

"I've been working so hard, I'm taking a month off," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "It's been great to just think and enjoy hanging out with my friends. I'm still growing up, and when you're working every day, you don't really get a chance to figure out who you are. So with the time off, I'm able to think, pray and just kind of grow up."

Well, good for him. Personally, I find him quite annoying. But maybe with this perspective he won't crash-'n-burn like other teen celebrities. Too often these youth have their fun, carefree teens years stolen by parents & managers who see only $$$. I hate the marketing machine that manufactures these pop stars. Pre-packaged and spoon-fed to the American public, and the Great Unwashed is manipulated into thinking it's talent up there on the stage.

Wow, I better stop. My cynicism is growing by the sentence.

Ok, I have to say that the pic they used here makes Justin look incredibly feminine which brings me to a question that I've pondered many times: Why do a lot of women go for guys who well... look pretty? It's interesting really because for men, it's usually the opposite. Most men go for women who look pretty. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder (or sometimes the beer holder). Anyway, to each their own.
