Cat Hugs Dragon (VIDEO)

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 07/22/11 12:59 PM ET   Updated: 09/21/11 06:12 AM ET

Once upon one year ago, with her cat and bearded dragon in tow, a woman moved into a new apartment. However, the change of scenery freaked the little lizard out and he dropped a few pounds from the stress.

What's a loving pet owner to do?

Not to worry! It's Puppet The Adorable Cat to the rescue [cue heroic music].

Watch as the cat comforts her unlikely best friend in what might be the cutest kitty snuggle in the history of the internet. (Except perhaps this kitty snuggle, where a cat mom hugs her kitten. But this cat is hugging a dragon. A DRAGON.)

Click here to see another example of adorable and unlikely best friends.

Yeah, that's not snuggling or hugging. That's, "this is mine."

The Dragon just loves the warmth emanating from the cat. The cat, on the other hand, just likes the dragon's calm and texture.

Interesting and adorable. Maybe the cat is saving it for later.

Bearded dragons have spines. I imagine the cat likes to be scratched and the dragon is obliging. Those spines stick up and are quite uncomfortable for us. But just the right size for a cat.

At one point in my life I used to cuddle with a cold-blooded lizard too. His name was Brian.

Two remarks:

1) Well fed kitten. Keep feeding her well.

2) I thought it was a komodo dragon. That would have been a real miracle.

Okay that's just too cute and yeah I clicked over for another viewing of the mommy cat hugging her dreaming kitten.

These videos give me a feeling of peaceful serenity.

The dragon ia lulling the cat into a false sense of security. Once he falls asleep the beardy will make a handbag out of him. And maybe some shoes.....

Not cool. The keeper of these animals is just asking for his beardy to get killed and letting an animal that it views as a potential predator "snuggle" it is not going to help acclimate it. What he needs to do is put it in a quiet part of the house and leave it alone for a week or so. BTW, to the person below that saved the garter snake from mittens, Kudos. A lot of people wouldn't have cared.

No, the cats usually ignore bearded dragons of this size. This guy is spiney and quite hard on top. The cat is getting a good scratch.

They act like their in love, and they look like their a couple, but I guess that's really none of my business, so carry on you two!
