Gaddafi Urges Libyans To Speak To Rebels

TRIPOLI, July 22 (Reuters) - Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is encouraging his people to talk to rebels but will not speak to the insurgents himself, a government spokesman said on Friday.

The spokesman said Libya was willing to hold further meetings with U.S. government officials, following one held in Tunisia last weekend, and added that Libyan officials had held six meetings with senior rebel representatives.
