San Diego Comic-Con officially began Thursday, after an exciting sneak-preview on Wednesday night.

As has been the case in recent years, Hollywood had a strong presence at the convention. TimeOut Chicago reports that diehard Twilight fans were camping out as early as Monday morning in order to get a glimpse of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson on Thursday, as they promoted the film series' newest installment "Breaking Dawn: Part 1." Pattinson called a birth scene in the upcoming film "hardcore" and "graphic," reports The Huffington Post.

Fans of older cult films will be jealous, too. The Hollywood Reporter says that "Star Wars" fans at the convention got a special preview of deleted scenes from the famous franchise, which will be available to all when a new Blu-Ray collection of all six films goes on sale in September.

Other Hollywood heavyweights at Comic-Con included Justin Timberlake, Hugh Jackman, Sarah Michelle Gellar, the cast of "Game of Thrones," and the series' author, George R. Martin, according to The Wrap.

In gaming news, G4 reports that Solomon Grundy has been confirmed as the zombie super-villian of "Batman: Arkham City." The same website has the newly released trailer for Capcom's "Street Fighter X Tekken." Microsoft also unveiled a new "Star Wars" themed edition of the Xbox 360, which comes with a gold controller, a white Kinect camera, and a copy of Kinect Star Wars, reports Gamasutra.

We can't wait for what'll happen today -- The New York Times reports that Werner Herzog will be making an appearance. Maybe he'll check out the reunion of the 1960s "Batman" series, which the LA Times reports will include Adam West and Julie Newmar.
