Katy Perry Smurf Dress: Sofia Vergara, Singer Sexy Up 'The Smurfs' Premiere (PHOTOS)

The conceit of "The Smurfs," the upcoming CGI/live action hybrid film, is that the happy-go-lucky, virginal blue woodland creatures are chased out of their village and into New York City. Eventually, it can be assumed, they go back to their fictional Smurf Village, but after making a return visit for the film's premiere on Sunday, they couldn't be blamed for investing in some big city real estate.

Having just two eligible females in the village, the little blue guys had to be taken aback and starstruck by what they saw on the red carpet. Katy Perry stole the show, continuing both her tradition of sexing up children's characters and wearing hyper-sexualized clothing depicting them, while Sofia Vergara, a bit more conservatively dressed, more than likely left Papa Smurf woozy nonetheless. Brooke Shields shined as well, and don't worry there was a special someone to greet Smurfette, too.

I never could understand what a classy lady like Sandra Bullock could see in Jesse James, other than physical attraction and lust. But when the physical attraction and lust wears off, what is left? Nothing. I really believed that Jesse James and his tatooed love Kat Von D were soul-mates. As usual, maybe it was all about seeking publicity for themselves. Sandra Bullock comes away as the champion, divorcing herself from this mess while moving on with her life and her young son,Louis.

Katy Perry is adorable and if you don't like her stuff, turn it off, Mom & Dad. You are in control of what your kids see, watch, emulate. If you are plunking them down in front of the "electronic" babysitter, than you are more to blame than Katy Perry. She's an artist and an entertainer. Get over it.

Heres the thing - the Smurfs are supposed to be family friendly and not carry an age restriction - but at the promos and for the interviews for the movie - Perry who voices one of the leading characters is going to be indulging in things best left to strippers and the jigglers of course. If this films carries an age restriction or parental guidance advised - then fine - but many are just assuming the Smurfs are an all ages friendly adventure for their kids - not that its mixed up in kiddie porn lite

There is no chance I will ever see this movie, even for free and laid up with the flu and

Stating what she does professionally which is constantly sell kiddie porn - the Sesame Street apperance, any live show, etc - this current over-sexualization of the smurfs - is not having a personal agenda - its saying her professional appearances are tasteless and should not be targeted at five year olds which they frequently are.

She is welcome to wear this sort of outfit for Mr Perry but to market this to five year olds is sick

The only one who seems to have HUGE personal issues with anyone pointing out Katy's usual attire at kids events and behavior is inappropriate is - YOU.

Stating this is the hundredth time she turns up to a kids event about to fall out of a dress and doing her best to add sexual overtones to it (I kissed a Smurf and liked it - in reference to her sexually charged song)
is just stating the events that actually transpired.

This is supposed to be a family friendly movie - in none of the explanation you gave about Smurfette's character does it say Smurfette was little lolita determined to make suggestive sexual gestures and innuendos.

Its supposed to be something five year olds can be taken to without their parents having to worry about oversexualization.

Watching porn leads to stimulation and that is entirely a visual thing - something to think about the next time one takes ones kids to a KP concert/movie etc
