Mariah Carey Talks About Twins, Pregnancy on HSN (VIDEO)

Mariah Carey Opens Up About Twins

Mariah Carey has stayed pretty mum about her twins since giving birth in April, but the singer decided to give away some tidbits about life with newborns and her never-ending pregnancy while promoting her jewelry line on HSN Sunday night.

She references her short nails -- "I cut my nails really [short] ... for the babies" -- and reveals that her pregnancy was not always butterflies and rainbows.

"February was bleak for me," she said. "I was so uncomfortable."

After months of speculation, Carey and husband Nick Cannon announced they were expecting twins last December. They welcomed son, Moroccan, and daughter, Monroe, on April 30.

"[Being] pregnant with twins is different than anything," she continued. "...They were always saying to me, 'Oh but it's so worth it,' and I'm like, 'Yeah, that's easy for you to say when you're not the one whose feet are [so] big.' ... It turned into a really difficult time."

"My body went through so much, holding those twins in, and you have to keep them in for as long as possible, because it's a sacrifice that you make for them," she said.

Carey showed off her large belly toward the end of her pregnancy.

"I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn't want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience," she exclusively told Life & Style in April. "My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans."

Carey debuted her post-baby bod earlier this month.
