Atlanta Driver Kevin Fay Argued About Drunk Driving Before Getting Into Drunken Accident

Drunk Driving Argument Precedes Drunk Driving Crash

Sometimes, it's better to be wrong.

A passenger can now say "I told you so" to the driver who crashed after she'd allegedly argued with him that he was too intoxicated to drive.

That's because Kevin Fay, 45, apparently slammed his truck into an Atlanta apartment building on Monday shortly after bickering with Christine Gentry about whether he should be behind the wheel, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The impact from the pickup truck knocked a hole in the top floor of the apartment building and left Gentry with head injuries, WSBTV reported.

Fay staggered out of the vehicle and fled the scene, leaving his injured companion behind in the passenger seat.

But a civilian chased him down and brought him back to the scene of the accident. Police booked him on DUI, hit-and-run, and reckless driving charges, the Journal-Constitution said.

No one in the apartment building was hurt, the TV station said.
