(Reuters) - British finance minister George Osborne met executives from Rupert Murdoch-owned companies 16 times since the parliamentary election in May 2010, information released by the British government this week showed.
Here are details of meetings by key British political figures with executives and journalists from Murdoch's News Corp since May 2010:
PRIME MINISTER DAVID CAMERON
Cameron has met executives and journalists from News International 26 times since the government was elected.
According to information issued by the government's Cabinet Office, Cameron's meetings with rival media companies included nine meetings with Telegraph Media Group figures, four meetings involving Daily Mail and Mail Sunday newspapers and four meetings involving the Evening Standard.
Cameron met former News International Chief Executive Rebekah Brooks twice in December 2010 on social occasions. They also met twice at Chequers, the prime minister's official country residence.
DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER NICK CLEGG
Clegg has met with News International figures on at least five occasions, including attending the News International summer party in June 2010. He met other British media figures on 24 occasions since the coalition government took office. His first meeting in May 2010 was with Simon Kelner of The Independent.
CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER GEORGE OSBORNE
Osborne had 16 meetings with News Corp executives, or about one third of his total of 54 meetings with media executives.
Osborne met with Brooks five times since May 2010. He also had two meetings with Rupert Murdoch, two meetings with his son and News Corp chairman James Murdoch, and one with Rupert Murdoch's daughter Elisabeth Murdoch.
Osborne met executives from other media companies on 38 occasions, including with executives from Express Newspapers, the Telegraph Media Group, and the Daily Mail, all at least twice.
LABOR PARTY LEADER ED MILIBAND
Leader of the opposition, Miliband held 15 meetings with News Corp executives and journalists out of 48 meetings with media outlets since May 2010. He had a social meeting with Colin Myler in March 2011 when Myler was News of the World editor. The Sunday tabloid closed with a final edition on July 10, after allegations that the paper had hacked into the voicemail of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler.
Miliband also attended the News International summer parties in June 2010 and June 2011.
