Chris Matthews reveled in the public scandal surrounding one of his most recent Tea Party enemies on his Thursday show.
It was just last Wednesday when Matthews and GOP Rep. Joe Walsh had a blistering exchange about the debt ceiling on "Hardball." Walsh came loaded for bear, aggressively challenging Matthews at every turn. Matthews was just about as equally feisty in response. So perhaps Matthews could be forgiven some minor--or maybe major--schadenfreude when it was revealed that Walsh is being sued for more than $100,000 in child support.
"Ahhhhhhhh," Matthews sighed with pleasure as he reeled off the charges against Walsh. "What a great conservative he is." He was especially tickled that Walsh's attorney said that his client has had no greater difficulties with child support than any "average guy."
"Don't you love that lawyer?" Matthews said. "He's no more of a deadbeat than any other guy."
