The Great American Road Trip: Great Plains

The Great American Road Trip: Great Plains

This week we're in Big Sky Country, aka Montana. There's amazing skiing in the winter, and fantastic hiking and fishing in the summer months. The state is also know for its gorgeous prairies and open skies. We'll start our trip by heading out to Glacier National Park to see the incredible mountains, alpine meadows and historic Indian reservations. On the way there, we'll make a pit-stop at Flathead Lake, for a quick canoe trip and some fly-fishing. Once we get to Glacier, there's lots of old rustic lodges and lots of trails to hike. We'll fit in a little extreme sports with white water rafting in Alberton Gorge. Our Montana adventure ends with hiking the grassy prairies of the American Prairie Reserve, complete with sightings of bison herds and antelope.
