Fire officials in La Crosse are continuing to investigate a Saturday blaze that destroyed the regional offices of We Are Wisconsin, a union political action committee (PAC) that has pumped millions of dollars into supporting Democratic candidates in the upcoming recall elections.

Well, looks like the fire that so many here judged to be a "right wing" act started on the second floor exterior porch of one of the apartments. Not that HP will bother to report on that. better to just leave a question mark hanging in the oingoing smear campaign.

As usual, a misleading headline. The implication is that the "We Are Wisconsin" offices were destroyed only, when the reality is that this was a large fire that "destroyed adjacent downtown buildings Saturday, claiming six apartments, a warehouse and the local headquarters of a political organizing group" and the origin and casue of the fire are unknown at this point. I hope this will not stop the vote next Tuesday. It's obviously some right-wingers that set it. And whoever compares this to vandalizing Republican signs is nuts. There's no comparison to a whole building being destroyed. If they have good insurance this can help, but I'm sure not before the election.
