Kings Of Leon Reschedule Tour Dates After Frontman Caleb Followill Walks Off Stage

Kings Of Leon: Trouble In Paradise?

There seems to be some trouble in paradise for rock band, Kings Of Leon. The Tennessee-based band cut their Dallas,Texas show short on Friday night after lead singer, Caleb Followill, exited the stage mid-show and canceled their Saturday night gig in Houston, Texas as well.

According to Rolling Stone, Caleb announced to the crowd Friday night, "I'm gonna go backstage and I'm gonna vomit, I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out and play three more songs." Unfortunately for fans, and the rest of the band, he did not return and the show ended after multiple apologies from Caleb’s band mates. They were quick to point fingers at their lead singer and took to Twitter to continue their 'I'm sorries' to fans.

A representative for the band released a statement blaming Caleb’s abrupt departure on health issues, stating, “Caleb Followill suffered from heat exhaustion and dehydration, during last night’s Dallas performance causing his vocal chords to seize.”

Unfortunately, like Nathan, another member of the band used Twitter to not-so-subtly lead their fans to believe something deeper is occurring. Bass player Jared Followill, brother of Nathan and Caleb, tweeted to fans without sugarcoating the situation in the slightest. "Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. No words.” He continued, "I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."

The canceled shows have been rescheduled for September, Dallas on September 21 and Houston on September 22. Tickets for the canceled dates will be honored for rescheduled shows, and refunds will be given to those who cannot attend.

And as one fan at the Dallas show who posted this video on YouTube of their song “Notion” put it, “Sad night when KOL had to end early due to Caleb's "illness."
