Bruce Springsteen's 'Dancing In The Dark' Outtakes Revealed (VIDEO)

WATCH: Bruce Springsteen's Awkward Moment Caught On Tape!

Bruce Springsteen seems like the type of guy that always maintains his cool, but somehow, The Boss can't make suspenders look cool. In this raw footage taken from the original "Dancing In The Dark" music video shoot, Springsteen unfortunately looks like John Travolta auditioning for a jazzercise tape.

The Big Man--saxophonist Clarence Clemons-- shows up around the three minute mark, and that red suit he's rocking is quite awesome, unlike Springsteen's look from "The Outsiders". Seriously, he would have fit right in with Ponyboy and the gang.

No wonder The Boss rejected the footage, and hired Brian De Palma to film the live video, featuring a pre-"Friends" Courteney Cox. The music video became a huge mid-80s hit, sans suspenders.
