Linda Evangelista Asks Francois-Henri Pinault For $46,000 Per Month In Child Support

Linda Evangelista reportedly shocked Manhattan Family Court on Monday, asking baby daddy Francois-Henri Pinault to pay $46,000 in child support per month, according to the New York Post.

Evangelista claims she needs the hefty sum to pay for nannies and armed chauffeurs to take care of her son, four-year-old Augustin. However, Support Magistrate Matthew Troy told the supermodel, "That would probably be the largest support order in the history of the Family Court." Doesn't he know that he's talking to the woman who doesn't wake up for less than $10,000 a day?

Speaking of, the Post adds, the judge inquired about Evangelista's current employment, to which she responded that she sometimes puts in 16-hour shifts and, "On days when I do not work, I am working on my image."

Just last month, the New York Post confirmed that French businessman and CEO of PPR Pinault was indeed the father of Evangelista's baby.

She repeatedly refused to reveal who it was, initially saying it was "a New York architect," but Pinault's name started circulating in 2007, thanks to Page Six. At the time, Didier Fernandez of DNA Model Management, told People.com, "Not true. [Evangelista] has never said who the father is."

But Page Six was still hot on the trail of Evangelista's personal life and spotted Evangelista heading to court in early July to set up a support agreement with Augustin's dad:

The Manhattan magistrate's court action confirms that the two-timing Pinault -- CEO of the $28 billion conglomerate that owns Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Yves St. Laurent -- is the daddy to two 4-year-olds by different world-famous beauties.

One -- Augustin, and the other -- Valentina, Pinault's daughter with wife Salma Hayek.

No agreement was reached then and given Evangelista's latest request, it seems unlikely that there will be an arrangement now. So look out for a trial come fall.

If I had a baby daddy worth billions, then I'd be asking for that amount too. He can well afford it and not even miss it, after all his 3 other children are living quite well off his billions and this child shouldn't live in any less lifestyle than his other 3. That man can easily afford it.

I don't believe anybody in this world needs that amount of money PER MONTH. Her justification is, she needs the money to hire nannies (plural) and armed chauffers which likely means she'll have a staff of people to raise the kid. Its just not a justification the common man/woman can relate to. Plenty of not so fortunate mothers raising their kids on their own with little or no support from anyone. I'm sure they read this article and their reaction was o_O

For all the people who scream/think "jealousy" based on some of the responses to this article, look at it this way... How can you expect someone who makes that amount (46,000) or less to understand this woman's ordeal or feel her "pain", when so many single mothers (and fathers) have to work with less than a thousand a month in child support? I mean this woman wants nannies when so many mothers and fathers can't afford daycare in the US. Its not jealousy, just the perspective of people who have to "work" for a living.

$46,000/mth sounds like unadulterated greed. I'm all for assuring your child is well taken care of, but this is where I'd ask the judge to have her tally just what the monies are going towards. I hope she's pushing for the father to see the child with the same gust she's using to put her hands in his pockets.

The comments on this thread are just jealousy at its worse. Just because she never told the world who the father was does not mean that he Now he is married, and has other children. She is taking steps to protect her son's inheritance and to see that there is a formal arrangement in place. This is what a good mother does. The amount is large, yes, but the man is a billionaire! His son is entitled to his non-custodial father's standard of living. Yes, she is a wealthy woman in her own right, but that doesn't preclude the father from his responsibilities.

This is logic, common sense, and shows her to be a responsible parent. It's not her fault we are all broke, so don't take it out on her.

Yes, but the fact that he, obviously, doesn't agree with the amount proves that for him it must have been a surprise. He didn't expect it. Maybe, well I think definitely, he has had many other liaisons and none have resulted in a baby (not counting Salma because he married her).

Stop making this about Evangelista and what you think of her and at least attempt to understand why Pinault should treat his son with the same regard he treats his daughter..  Would it really make you all feel better for this child to grow up knowing that his father would rather blow 50 grand a month on wine and entertaining than supporting him in the style his half sister and her Mother is accustomed to??

This isn't about whether Evangelista needs the money.. Pinault hasn't paid a dime since the child was born and she seem to have managed.. This is about making sure her child is as well regarded as Pinault's other child whom he lavishes with luxury and estates.. Pinault  spends 50 grand a month just on maintaining a 12 million dollar estate he purchased to be held in trust for his daughter..

I doubt this boy will ever know the love of his Father..  so I don't think it is wrong to expect his Father to at least be equitable with the support.. 

I doubt many of you understand what it is like to have a wealthy Father treat you and your mother like a terrible mistake he would rather forget (and do anything to get out of child support) while you watch him flaunt his wealth and shower his other family with all the security and respect that his money can buy..   I do understand it and I understand exactly why she is asking for what she is asking for.. and I hope she gets it.. I doubt that this child will ever get anything else of value from his Father..
