Mark Halperin Suspension From MSNBC Ending This Week

Mark Halperin Suspension Ends

Mark Halperin's suspension from MSNBC is coming to an end.

An MSNBC spokeswoman confirmed to Poynter that Halperin will begin appearing on the network again later in the week.

The suspension ends a ban from the airwaves that lasted over a month. On June 30, Halperin called President Obama a "dick" on "Morning Joe" and was swiftly punished. He has not been on any MSNBC program since. His suspension lasted far longer than the three hosts pulled from the air by MSNBC over the past year. Keith Olbermann, Joe Scarborough and Ed Schultz were all suspended, but none of their punishments lasted more than a week.
