Ron Artest Comedy Routine At The Improv

For those of us who didn't get to see our beloved Mr. Ron Artest hit up the Brea Improv Comedy Club last Friday, the Los Angeles Times was there to film it. Check out footage above and see other segments here.

With self-effacing, but endearing quips, Artest jokes about his constantly dualing egos and most obviously, his two names. And while it's clear that Artest is getting laughs on his home court, TMZ also notes that his stand-up at Caroline's in New York City "was magical."

Ron Artest has made headlines recently for a whole slew of topics -- first and foremost, with the petition to change his name from Ron Artest to Metta World Peace. Yes, it was hard to believe. Then there was the clarification that he is, in fact, divorced and has been since 2009. Now, TMZ reports Artest may potentially be a contestant on the next season of "Dancing With The Stars."

So, what does this playful public figure do in the face of all this PR? Ron-Ron makes fun of it. The LA Times reports the Improv's emcee introduced Artest as, "the least respected member of LA's losing basketball team. He is one of the worst rappers ever. And he shares pictures of his [expletive] on Twitter." It got the night off on the right foot.

The funniest Artest routine was when he left the court and went into the stands to fight with a fan.
