How does Lil Wayne celebrate his two MTV Video Music Award nominations? By throwing a giant neon party, obviously. Even though the MTV Video Music Awards don't air until August 28, Weezy is kicking things off early.
In the first promotional commercial for the VMA's, Wayne--decked out in neon glasses--graffitis a wall, gets a tattoo, pays tribute to Tupac and stage dives like a real rock star. Oh yeah, and he also smashes his favorite Gibson guitar while "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana plays in the background.
A new track from the talented rapper also hit the web yesterday, giving fans something to really be excited about. His latest leak, "Put The Light On Me" features Weezy's quick-witted rhymes and a crazy beat. Although the Bangladesh-produced clip is only a quick 16 bars, it packs quite a punch.
No word on whether the track will be part of a full song or not or be featured on Wayne's next album, "Tha Carter IV".
