Anne Hathaway: Selina Kyle Catwoman Pic For 'The Dark Knight Rises' (PHOTO)

Having already introduced Tom Hardy as Bane to the world with that creepy over the shoulder shot back in May, Christopher Nolan and the team behind his third and final epic Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises," have secretly revealed another first look at a new star.

Found in the official website, here is the first image of Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, the alter-ego of the famous Catwoman. Hathaway, to say the least, looks much different than past Catwoman actresses, with the glasses, lack of any ears or mask and gigantic powerwheels motorbike setting her apart from Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry.

This is the latest release from the film, though the previous ones weren't exactly approved; paparazzi shots got clear images of the new Batmobile, as well as some epic fight scenes between the Dark Knight and Bane.

Looking at all these negative comments reminds me of the letdown we all felt when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker. I for one, believe Chris Nolan has a vision, and that this will be the best Batman movie of all time. Anne Hathaway can act. And that's all that Nolan needs. SHE WILL BE the best Catwoman. Here's to next Summer's blockbuster superhero movies. Cheers.

I don't think so they aren't even useing a bat mobile they are useing something you would see in Iraq for a damn batmobile the vehicels are supose to at least look something like a bat.so get real.

I am still on the fence, I like Anne but Catwoman is a serious Femme Fatale and I just haven't gotten that from Anne. I think Angelina Jolie would be good (with her Tomb Raider weight) but honestly Charlize Theron would have nailed this too. We shall see, again I am indifferent so far.

When trying to think who has what it takes to portray and embody Catwoman, I came up short. There are many different portrayals of Catwoman over the years throughout various Batman comic series, but I think your suggestions are very good. Angelina Jolie would make a great Catwoman--Charlize Theron would make a better one, I think. If Monster taught me anything, is that Theron can act.

Michelle Pfeiffer definitely set the bar, and now we're given Anne Hathaway? First off, there's even something about her name to me that that's screams she should remain in children's films. But that's just me... as for her costume why is she even called catwoman if she doesn't have cat ears. It may sound silly at first, but when ya think about it almost every villain is named off their appearance (scarecrow, joker, two-face, catwoman, ect.). You might as well call her goggle girl because there is nothing about this costume that says cat-like. Actually you could have told me these were pictures of bat-girl and I would have believed you. Anyway I like the direction they're going with Bane and I'm glad he's the main villain, I just hope Catwoman isn't what leads me to loose my trust in Chris Nolan because so far... it just might.

I hate to bring up the Tim Burton / Chris Nolan casting comparisons that were beaten to death when Heath Ledger was supposed to fill Jack Nicholson's shoes ... but someone has to bring up Michelle Pfeiffer. In my eyes she was the perfect Catwomen, she had the perfect combination of being threatening and sexy, while being slightly mentally unstable. The only thing better then her portrayal of the character was her costume, hand stitched leather... can't beat it.

Much as I hate to say this, I think Angelina Jolie would have been perfect. I hope Anne surprises me, but she hasn't proven her dramatic actress capability yet. Not that she's typecast, but her roles until now have left the impression of her fantastic smile and bubbly screen personality. Like I said, I hope she surprises me. I'm betting Nolan directed her well, though.

No kidding. Catwoman should be incredibly sexy. You can't do much better than Jolie. Julie Newmar was the best Catwoman ever, meow, and it's pretty dumb that directors are always looking to improve on perfection.

okay, but some movies are best when they were first not second third or fourth... Like for jaws that was good the first time but the second...eh...and the rest....not good...But your right some trilogys are pretty good like lord of the rings, and others...so you do have a point
