This year's ArtCrush, the Aspen Art Museum's annual auction and gala, has already proved itself to be one for the books.
Most excitingly, Mexico-based art collectors Gabriela and Ramiro Garza announced that they were donating $1 million to the Aspen Art Museum. Mr Garza is also on the AAM's Board of Trustees, and his generous donations bring the total funds for the Shigeru Ban building to $44.1 million.

The event, which aims to engage the global arts community, culminates in the presentation of the Aspen Award for Art to an important contemporary artist. This year, the live auction will be conducted once again by Tobias Meyer, Sotheby's Europe's Deputy Chairman and their Worldwide Head of Contemporary Art and Principal Auctioneer.

The entirety of ArtCrush takes place over the duration of three days and started with WineCrush on August 3, a wine party hosted by John and Amy Phelan, followed by PreviewCrush on August 4, a preview of the lots to be auctioned on the final day of events, August 5. ArtCrush boasts guests including prominent artists, art collectors, curators, gallery owners, celebrities and philanthropists from all over the globe.
