Rihanna Steps Out In String Bikini (PHOTOS)

Rihanna was spotted showing off her curves on the beaches of Barbados Thursday. The singer was back in her home country giving a whole new meaning to a string bikini. The white swimsuit she was wearing seemed hardly the right choice for some water sports, but Rihanna managed to stay covered and jet ski in style.

The "S&M" singer is getting some R&R with friends and family during her visit home.

I really don't think they were "bashing" her in this article. Saying Rihanna was in a bikini - string or not- is BOUND TO GET CLICKS! They wanted you to open up the pic, simple as that. The "article" itself was like 4 sentences...
Anyway, my opinion is I think she looks fantastic :) She's one of my fav performers atm and I wish her success. One thing about Rihanna is she can rock any hair color and style and look gorgeous. I've never seen her look bad.

For starters that ISN'T a string bikini...a string bikini is defined by four triangle patches covering all the non public parts...secondly, she's 23 and looks amazing..I seriously doubt she called in the cameras to film her trying to have a day off...I'm not even a fan but damn...LEAVE HER ALONE!

Can't we just give these people a break? I am so tired of hearing about every little move that every young singer/actress/Hiltassian makes. They are flesh and bone just like the rest of us. Some have talent. Let them go on vacation without 500 cameras constantly clicking away.

?? What are you talking about? She's riding on a jet ski. Besides whoever wrote the article doesn't even know what a "string bikini" IS. Rhianna is wearing a BANDEAU top and the bottom has more coverage than a "string bikini," too. I think it's terrible the way some in the "majority" culture TRY to make the things people in the minority culture do seem WORSE than they are. "String bikini," my eye! Olivia Wilde, the WHITE actress featured on this SAME PAGE was apparently NAKED for a second in the movie Cowboys and Aliens, but people are here crazily dumping on RHIANNA for allegedly "showing too much?" The racism is almost palpable! Shaking my head. I will agree that I think Rhianna should have toned down the almost crazed sexuality in some of her videos, but she is FOLLOWING Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce -- NOT LEADING THEM! I wish more of the talented young performers would be like JaNelle Monae. She keeps her clothes on AND brings down the house with her amazing performances. Did you see her during the last Grammy Awards? Fantastic!

Thank you for pointing out a truth. People of color is always framed as "worse than" no matter what they do. They are categorized in terms that always inevitable defined them as trash...where as their white counterparts would simply be labeled as "hot." It is subtle racism that is tailored to redefined itself.
