SF Chefs 2011 Recap (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Food, Drink, And Plenty Of Celebrities At SF Chefs 2011

SF Chefs has officially ended. The city has gained a few pounds, some of us have sworn off booze all together and if the grand tasting was any indication of upcoming SF food trends, we'll all soon be swimming in gazpacho.

A few highlights: Nopa's buttery crostini topped with Sausalito salmon sashimi (caught that very morning) and bright cherry tomato confit, basil, honey, smoked paprika, and Maldon salt; flour and water's summer squash salad with tomatoes, sardine and speck; and Combier's formidable run-based mint julep. Yum.

And among the event highlights was the Friday night afterparty at The City Club. Oh, City Club, like the gracious host of a rowdy dinner party that lasts far, far too long. Thank you for the cigars, the chocolate mousse and the delicious Wente port. Thank you for letting Hubert Keller spin on the turntables late into the night. And thank you for putting up with the lot of us. It was nothing short of a blast.

Fortunately (unfortunately?) Claudine Gossett at Drew Altizer documented the entire event.
