'We Need To Talk About Kevin' International Trailer Released, Tilda Swinton In Horror Film (WATCH)

There are some films that really know how to burrow themselves in your mind--you're too afraid to go outside and too afraid to sleep--and that is, ultimately, the judge of whether or not it's a successful thriller.

'We Need to Talk About Kevin' is, unambiguously, one of those films. Except, this time, you may find yourself terrified of ever having children.

Starring Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly, this harrowing flick follows their marriage and the seemingly innocent birth of their son, Kevin.

The newly released international trailer has a sunny set-up: love in the streets, pregnancy and birth. But, of course, we realize it's not all so rosy (though there is plenty of red).

Kevin, played by the soul-piercing-eyed Ezra Miller, is a psychopath with a taste for death--and there's the rub.

Swinton delivers a chilling portrait of motherhood, a theme she's expressed interest in exploring and has related the feeling to that of a 'gag-reflex.'

Directed by Lynne Ramsay, this film--as beautiful as it is terrifying--was a stunner at Cannes. And there's no doubt that it will be keeping quite a few of us up at night.

I'm so glad HP allows publicists & Hollywood marketing departments to self-promote their films on this website! keep it up!

Hooray, Tilda!

Here's hoping this starts a tiny little crack in that shield most parents put around their children. The one thing that made the most lasting impression on me from having had a go at teaching long ago was how incredibly difficult it was to convince some parents that their precious kid was a monster. I've advocated CCTVs in all classrooms ever since to no avail.

What? No fat men falling or farting around? It'll flop in the US.

Wow, "Bad Seed" much? "The Good Son" and "The Orphan" and "The Omen" also come to mind. How breathtakingly original can a movie be if it's exactly like tons of other movies that have come before it?

This book was the most intense book I've ever read and I read it twice. It's a hard read, some scenes are excruciating but it makes you think. Boy, does it make you think. I can't wait to see the movie.

I agree! That was an incredibly disturbing film and tilda's chilling performance was perhaps her greatest. I think she won Best Actress at the BAFTA awards.

Tilda Swinton IS the bomb! Love her, her work, her passion, her intellect, can't get enough of her. This movie looks like a wild ride through emotions, creativity and just "life". Can't wait to see it.
