Remorseful Groper With Foot Fetish Arrested When He Apologizes To Victim

A man infatuated with a neighbor broke into her home and grabbed her thigh while she slept, but was caught when he returned later to apologize.

Salvatore Louise Pascucci, 36, allegedly told police that he sneaked into the victim's bedroom in Port Charlotte, Fla. to touch her, because she "was pretty" and he "wanted to be her boyfriend," according to The Daily Press.

The unidentified victim awoke in her bed to the feeling of "a cold hand" touching her inner thigh around 1 A.M. on Friday, The Daily Press said. Pascucci allegedly fled and eluded police who searched for him that night, but his conscience compelled him to return to the scene of the crime later that day.

He appeared the following afternoon outside the woman's house to apologize to her, while she was sitting with relatives on her porch. She bolted indoors at the sight of Pascucci and called 911. This time, authorities arrived quick enough to nab him, the newspaper said.

Pascucci has had his share of run-ins with the law before. Police cuffed him in 2003 on charges of burglary, and carrying a firearm at a school, according to the Charlotte County (Fla.) Sheriff's office.

For the latest offense, cops charged Pascucci with burglary for breaking into the home. Upon questioning by police, Pascucci allegedly admitted that he'd seen the woman several times while riding his bike through the neighborhood. He stroked her feet several times before she felt him caressing her leg, the Daily Press said.
