Hulk Hogan On London Riots: Wrestler Appeals To U.K. Fans On BBC Radio

Although a plea from English soccer star Wayne Rooney did little to halt the ongoing carnage of the London Riots, perhaps the words of an American sportsman can make a difference. Well, his words and the threat of being body slammed like Andre the Giant. On BBC Radio, retired professional wrestling icon Hulk Hogan recently made an impassioned, almost paternal, plea to his beloved U.K. Hulkamaniacs to stop rioting.

The tireless comedy miners at The Daily Show found this audio clip and highlighted it in the "Moment of Zen" segment at the close of Tuesday night's episode.

With all the steroids he`s jacked up in the past and his advancing years, would Mr Hogan be able to run after the fleet-footed undernourished chavs? After a few steps he`d probably be wheezing for breath. Anyway, everyone knows wrestling is staged. Jean-Claude Van Damme. Schwarzenegger, Stallone et al are looking kinda past it too.

I reckon Jason Statham should be the celebrity to lead the `fight back`. With his shaved head, no-nonsense `geezer` approach (with some pugilistic skills to back him up), we should see charvers bricking it (and I don`t mean hurling projectiles!)
