Jill Zarin Contemplates Leaving 'The Real Housewives Of New York'

She's the queen bee of New York City but this socialite's days on the small screen may be numbered. On Saturday night, Jill Zarin and her husband, Bobby enjoyed dinner at Savanna's in Southampton where he was overheard telling Jill she should not return for another season of "The Real Housewives of New York."

“Bobby made it clear that it was Jill’s decision but couldn’t understand what she would have to gain from returning to a fifth season,” a friend at the next table tells me. “Her daughter is in college and it’s time to take her parents on the cruise of a lifetime they have always wanted to do. Plus the success of her Skweez Couture and other deals she has coming up are a full-time job.”

Jill, who doesn’t need the $265,000 a season each lady earns, has never been the last to leave a party but knows that when it is time to make her exit, it's best to do so on a high note.

“The 'New York' show has been super successful but next season will never top the numbers they have now and after the failures of D.C. and Miami shows, everyone thinks the high point of the franchise is behind them not in front of them,” a Bravo insider tells me. “Everything has to come to an end. And the reunion show Part 2 ratings were very disappointing.”

A spokesperson for Jill did confirm that she was at the Southampton restaurant with her husband but declined to comment on whether Jill had made any decision about her future with the show. However, I was told that her shapewear line was picked up by major department stores during market week last week and to expect some big news about her other products in the upcoming weeks.

Although no final decisions have been made, Jill is hoping to be freed from her Bravo contract -- she has two more years to fulfill her reality TV obligation. Although we can't imagine the New York housewives sans the fiery redhead, it sounds like we may have to get used to it.

I like Jill, she can be a yenta from time to time, but she's a total mama bear who tries to protect her friends. She helped out Bethenny, and Bethenny back stabbed her, and she didn't recover. She didn't know how to play the martyr like Bethenny did. But Jill is cool. Ramona is a dummy who drinks to much and is a bad example to women. She has no class. Alex is a sad. Kelly is hip and ditsy, but harmless.

After watching the two reunion shows, which I almost couldn't stomach, it is obvious that that show is as dead as the Miami one. After seeing that display, who would want to watch any of those women ever again? (Alex excluded, but even she got caught up in all the venom).

Nobody owns up to anything they do, nothing ever changes, there isn't anything interesting going on anymore. Just narcissistic women having temper tantrums. We all knew Jill was a lost cause, but Luann annoyed me even more this year. And Kelly being the voice of reason?

Bravo, shame on you for wasting our time! Where did you find so many shallow losers? Fire them all!

I think dull Jill lives vicariously through other people, like she did with Bethany and even Luanne. Now it's killing her that she's becoming irrelevant. I think Luanne is sickening. Where did she get the delusion that she is somehow superior to everyone else? She believes that anytime someone talks to her that they are "coming to her for advice". She is patronizing and condescending and Luanne wouldn't know 'class' if it slapped her in the face. Luanne is worse than Jill.

I think it would be funny to see Luann out of her element (being the east coast). Imagine her showing up in some working man's and womans bar or tavern with her broke down looking girlfriends. I bet she wouldnt be feeling so superior then. Real hardworking people would put her in her place.

Oh, I truly pray this is true-whether Bravo boots her or it's her own decision!
She's a total hypocrite, mean-spirited and hasn't changed a bit!
She makes the most horrible and disrespectful faces...she curses worse than any housewife on any show and she's so self-important, I can't watch this show again if she's on it. Keep the husband, he's great. Ta Ta to Jill-take Kelly and the Countless with you! Awful people who term others as "relevant." UGH!!!!

"Couture" means "hand-sewn­" clothing and I doubt if these "Skweezer" are hand sewn unless she is pulling a Kathie Lee Gifford by using sweat shops in foreign countries that use child labor for pennies a month.

yes, please cancell that show, NY Housewives. I have posted 4 times and neither post has been printed, why? Because I have the GUTS to write the truth? Why make it better than truth? They all need to be in rehab for drunkeness, egoism, craziness etc etc and no balls on Andy Cohen to do what is right and let the dollar win out at our expense, the viewers.

I actually like Jill, but I hope she leaves. The show is simply toxic. Bravo should be ashamed of their RHO model.
