Al Sharpton To Rush Limbaugh: 'Keep On Talking About The Show' (VIDEO)

A seemingly delighted Al Sharpton struck back at Rush Limbaugh on his Wednesday show after Limbaugh speculated that a Teleprompter flub Sharpton made was caused by jealous black journalists.

Sharpton's mangled verbiage on his Tuesday show became an instant classic, and conservatives crowed about the gaffe. On Wednesday, Limbaugh had a lot of theories as to why Sharpton had gotten his words so wrong.

"Somebody is sabotaging the Rev. Sharpton via the Teleprompter," he said. "It's either a racist Teleprompter or whoever is preparing the Teleprompter is racist."

Or, he said, it could be an evil horde of...jealous black journalists? "There are a number of black accredited journalists who are really ticked off that the Rev. Sharpton is up for this gig," he said. "One of them, or some of them, might have gotten together here."

On Wednesday night, Sharpton weighed in, addressing Limbaugh directly.

"There's no racist teleprompter!" he said. "I messed up a line!" He even pointed out that he had made a small error on that night's show. Then, he thanked Limbaugh for highlighting the program.

"I want all of your listeners to start watching me," Sharpton said. "I want you to keep bringing them over. I don't want to preach to the choir. I want your choir, Rush!"

Sharpton said that he is aware that many "conspiracies" and grievances exist about his hosting of the MSNBC show. (Those include his vocal support for the Comcast-NBC merger and, as Limbaugh said, disappointment from some black journalists that a non-journalist is getting such a high-profile spot on MSNBC.)

Sharpton said that he's earned his spot on the network through his history of activism--and that, though he may sometimes flub his words, his message will get through.

"They'll get the point," he said. "Just like they did when I went after you, Rush, and the NFL. Keep on talking about the show. Keep going for the bait."

Yes, Pastor Sharpton has made his share of mistakes in his lifetime; we all have. But remember, he has done a tremendous amount of good in this world, for people of all colors. Also remember, Pastor Sharpton is a man of the cloth. And for that we must listen carefully to his words and give him our respect. God Bless this man of positive action.

MARCHING FOR JOBS WILL NOT WORK

Rev. Al Sharpton is a very good man and a great American. But the marching must stop! Marching today does two things. Make white people mad and black people tire" and change NOTHING!!!! Pastor Ted Haggard married having sex with a man.
Jim Bakker guilty of mail fraud, 15 counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy
Pastor Bob Moorehead indecent exposure in a public restroom.
Minister Joe Barron arrested through FBI sting of men targeting children for sex.
Bishop Eddie L. Long settled out of court civil complaints made by men that stated he would entice or coerce them into consensual sexual relationships in exchange for money, travel and goods.
pastor Vaughn Reeves found guilty of defrauding people over the age of 65 using religion as his net.

Claiming to be a person of the cloth does not equate to being above the law. What it does those is it places you in a position where you will be judged much harshly when you contradict what you preach.

Respect is earned and if Sharpton has done things that others perceive as wrong they have a right not to have respect for him regardless of him being a man of the cloth. Juane Williams in his book "Enough" stated things about Sharpton that cause one to stop and think beyond his being a man of the cloth.

I hadn't given that any thought but you raise an interesting observation. I would agree there's not many places a person as devoid of joy could go and he probably needs to stay where he is; doing what he does; speaking to the lost souls he has already snared. Al on the other hand. . .has sooooo much more substance to share.
