Casey Anthony Is Most Hated Person In America, Says E-Poll Market Research

First Posted: 08/11/11 08:58 PM ET   Updated: 10/11/11 06:12 AM ET

She's not going to win a popularity contest any time soon.

Casey Anthony, the 25-year-old Floridan found not guilty last month of killing her 2-year-old daughter, has been deemed America's most hated person in a new poll.

Anthony took top billing in the "total dislike" category of the survey, with 94 percent of respondents ranking her negatively, according to E-Poll Market Research.

She scored above -- or, depending on how you look at it, below -- reality TV personality Spencer Pratt, Nadya "Octomom" Suleman and O.J. Simpson, who received poor marks from 88, 87 and 85 percent of respondents, respectively.

For the so-called E-Score Celebrity poll, E-Poll Market Research claims it contacted 1,100 respondents ages 13 and older in the first week of August and asked them if they had heard of a number of celebrities.

If the respondents were aware of the stars, the researchers asked them if they liked or disliked the celebs, the E-Poll blog notes.

The poll does not indicate a margin of error, UPI points out.

Anthony was also considered the most "cold" celebrity, with 60 percent of respondents using that term to describe her. Only 43 percent called O.J. Simpson "cold," according to The Orlando Sentinel.

Wow, we really do have some of the most self-righteous people on the planet living right here in the USA. With just a couple of exceptions, all of the 'most hated' never killed anyone. I would think Drew Petersen would have been in there. I know he hasn't been convicted, but the suspicion alone should have put him on the list. And Octomom? What the heck did she do to be so hated?

As far as Casey Anthony being the most hated person in America we all should remember what
Cheney Mason said. That she was found innocent by a jury of her peers. As Americans we need
to go back and not only read but understand our constitution. If after you try you can't maybe move
to another country where there is no jury system. She was found innocent move on once this is all
gossip leading up to her parents interview with Dr.Phil in September to make money. George &
Cindy should be tried for perjury not awarded for it with publicity and money.
08:07 PM on 08/17/2011
Ok, here we go again with Mr. Mason and his rants about the Constitution of the United States. The jury has spoken...so be it. I will, however, use my right of free speech to disagree loudly with this decision. And, please, get off the lame "if you don't like it move to another country...no one is going anywhere. I do agree with you, however, that Cindy and George are intent of adding to their coffers by their efforts to make money...which will probably continue. It is rumored (have heard nothing yet to confirm it) that Casey has signed a huge book deal. They are all looking to cash in on the death of this child. And Cheney Mason is a joke...a supposed highly intelligent attorney, flashing the "bird" at the media...and at a private citizen. In addition, he acted like a first year law student at trial. Baez and Mason finagled a win. But they are acting like losers. And...have a nice day.

Noone should profit from Caylee's death. A tragic accident. As far as Mr.Cheny and Mr.Baez
the trial is over Casey is innocent time to move on.

Thank Reagan, Bushie and the Tea Baggers for the recession. Obama inherited the legacy of "trickle down economics" and deregulation and since 2009, the obstructionist Republican Congress stood in his way of more meaningful responses by the Federal government.

I have an idea how about the most hated people be the politicians and corporations who want to deny us Universal Healthcare? Lets make a stink about issues that really matter. Casey Anthony was already put on trial and was found not guilty if you want to blame anyone for that then blame the prosecution for dropping the ball. In meantime I am more concerned about how I am going to pay my bills and praying that I don't get sick without healthcare.
09:00 PM on 08/17/2011
I agree hole heartedly after working in healthcare administration for 39 nine years all
that had to be done was to open up Medicare to everyone. We already have a public option plan that works well. This is simple stupid charge everyone a tax according to
income to fund Medicare for the people that want to be a part of it. As for the rest of
our fellow Americans who are intent on making AIG wealthier than they already are
let them keep shelling out huge premiums until they figure out the bigger picture.
Healthcare is a right not a privlege. Ask the politicians and corporations how they
would feel in our shoes. They should be number one on the most hated list for turning something that could be easily solved into a circus. If they used Medicare as
the public option plan for us you can be assured that it would be stable for many
generations, What they have on the table now is a joke.

Hate is a powerful and very negative word. I rarely use it because of the connotations associated with the word. I feel disgust towards a great many politicians but I don't hate them. Howard Stern is a rather loathsome person but why would I feel hared for the man? Casey Anthony was tried by her peers in a bona fide court of law and she was found not guilty. s far as I'm concerned that ends the story as I'm sure the jury had access to facts we don't and made their decision based on admissible evidence. OJ Simpson too was tried and found not guilty of murdering his wife. If people have a problem with the verdict, rather then railing against Simpson why not direct anger against LAPD, which was guilty of trying to manufacture evidence in what should have been an open and shut case: LAPD has been doing this for decades and getting away it, they have a long history of racism. With Simpson they ran into a black man who could afford an A Team defense...hate LADP for blowing the case. I have no idea why people make such silly judgments.
09:11 PM on 08/17/2011
The Casey Anthony story should be over and noone should profit from Caylee's death
which I do believe was a tragic accident covered up by George & Cindy Anthony. They
should be tried for perjury which we all know will never happen. All they want now is to
profit from Caylee's death what a shame. Remember one day we all have to meet our
maker and defend our lives. As far as OJ did the LAPD blow the case because they
had a black man who could afford an A Team maybe so but they used the race card
and won. Look at where OJ is now!!

Thee most hated people in America should be the politicians. Casey Anthony is not responsible for people losing their their retirement, having unions and wages cut, credit rating dropped, or two never ending wars. American's need to seriously wake up and smell the burnt coffee

Not a politician, but it's odd that Bernie Madoff is absent from the list. The most "hated" people in America seem to have no real influence in the lives of the vast majority of Americans. We might as well start gnashing our teeth at images of Emmanuel Goldstein for two minutes every day.
