Eddie Murphy will give voice to the animated lead character in Alcon Entertainment’s live action/animated big screen adaptation of the of the 1970s Hanna-Barbera animated TV series ‘Hong Kong Phooey,’ as it was announced by Alcon co-founders and co-CEO’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove.

grrreat, ( a little sarcasm), i haven't seen that cartoon for almost four decades and i still can't forget that song, hong kong phooey quicker than the human...and now there is going to be a version with buttwheat aka eddie murphy? next on the redo list must be h.r. puff n stuff or maybe sigmund the sea monster? i lived off this stuff as a kid but seriously taking it to the big screen? just hope those who were involved in the remake of land of the lost are not part of this endeavor in any way shape or form, for the sake of parents everywhere.
