Allies Plotted To Slip Estrogen To Hitler To Make Him 'Less Aggressive': Claim

British spies considered a plan to bring out Adolf Hitler's softer side by secretly adding female hormones to Der Fuhrer's food, according to a new book.

The idea that Hitler's violent quest for world domination could be subdued with steady doses of estrogen was one of the bizarre cloak-and-dagger plots dreamt up to outmaneuver Nazi Germany, according to a new book Secret Weapons: Technology, Science And The Race To Win World War II by British professor Brian Ford.

"There was an Allied plan that they would smuggle estrogen into Hitler's food and change his sex so he would become more feminine and less aggressive," Ford of Cardiff University told The Telegraph.

"Their research had showed the importance of sex hormones - they were beginning to be used in sex therapy in London," Ford said to the newspaper.

The gambit was favored over an outright poisoning, because estrogen is tasteless and its effects wouldn't be immediately detected, Metro reported. But the feminizing plan never made it beyond the drawing board.

The agents allegedly conjured up a bevy of options to win the war that seem far-fetched now, according to Ford. Other ideas called for dumping glue on Nazi soldiers to trap them, disguising explosives in the fruit tins that Germany imported and releasing poisonous snakes on enemy lines.

Ford uncovered the scheme while looking through stacks of recently declassified files from World War II, according to the ABC, the Australian news agency.

The estrogen plot is almost as bizarre as Hitler's attempt to give soldiers blow up sex dolls to avoid syphilis and build up an army of dogs that could read, talk and spell.

How silly, first, Hitler wasnt the aggressive one, the other eorpean countries that encircled him were, and america, Hitler didnt want war. But, be that as it may, I think it would be a good idea for us to try slipping some testosterone to Obama and out other leaders, they constantly cave in and cower to Israel and their minions, maybe if our leaders manned up we wouldnt be in such a mess.

Estrogen and Hitler? what a peregrine idea; Hitler was kept loaded on amphetamines cocktails by his "feel good doctors".that same drug gave dear Adolf lots of speaking staying power and further clouded his already deranged mind
Amphetamines also reinforce the ego and since memory is state concious ; everytime he reached the same level of "speed" intoxication, he had the same urging to rally the populace while repeating the same old diatribes against his enemies who, of course " were everywhere"(regular use of amphetamines is condusive to paranoia)
There was nothing funny about Hitler ; but if the allies's estrogen plan would have succeded, the result would have been devastating : a Hiponcondriac on amphetamine and entering menopause would have equaled the ultimate non stop speaking bitch on wheels!

As a World War Two history buff, with a degree in History focusing on Modern Europe I can tell you this article sounds far fetched, but both sides tried (or at least thought of) many weird ways to one up the other. A good example of this is the Russians (and Germans to a degree) trained dogs to run under tanks armed with magnetic mines strapped to their backs... of course the result was, BOOM, no more tank. This of course was time consuming, and used by the Russians during the middle of the war, but once they started having the upper hand on the Germans they all but stopped this practice. However, the Germans tried this tactic out a little bit, towards the end of the war. I mean there are many weird stories like this...

The allied powers knew good and well that Hitler was an inept military commander at best and found that his tactics often ended up helping the Allies more than it helped the Germans. So for the Brits to have given him a case of PMS probably would have ben a dangerous thing to because he suddenly might have made sense militarily. Kudos for the Brits wanting to give old Adolf man boobs but there is a time when such actions are not warrented.

you sir are right on the mark there...three great examples of this, why didn't Hitler grant Rommel two more panzer divisions, so that he could drive into the middle east and easly crush the Brits? and why didn't hitler invade England when he had the chance? Why didn't Hitler listen to his Generals and thrust straight for Moscow with all of his units, and then drive North and South after Moscow fell? He was a mad man, and everyone knew he would do himself in it was just a matter of when, and not if.

Other examples: Hitler was at the Russian front asking his Generals what they needed, they said More of these new Rifles. Hitler asked "What new Rifles" and they showed him the SG 44 ( predecessor to the AK ) 7.92 mm with 30 round clip. He had defunded Rifle developments in favor of super weapons. and promply defunded that one. Then there is the ME 262 which would have made an awesome fighter against American Bombing raids was much delayed by hitler's insistance on it being made into a fighter bomber.
