George R.R. Martin: Game Of Thrones Scripts Were Stolen

Missing Game Of Thrones Scripts Need Your Attention

George R.R. Martin, the novelist whose “A Song of Ice and Fire” collection inspired the dreamy HBO series "Game of Thrones," has entrusted readers of his blog to catch whoever may have pocketed autographed scripts from a package Martin received in a “battered” state, along with a pre-printed note from the USPS acknowledging the “damage.”

“This was no error in handling. The envelope was torn open at one end, and both scripts were gone, though Dan’s letter remained,” Martin wrote Saturday.

The missing scripts, "Baelor" and "Fire and Blood," are episodes 9 and 10 of season one, and are meant to be auctioned off for charity. For now Martin's asked readers to troll Ebay or another auction sites in case they surface.

"Like Bloodraven, I have a thousand eyes and one. So let's keep 'em all peeled, boys and girls," he signed off in the post, referencing a character from the books. No surprise, the old head-on-a-pike method of punishment came up almost immediately in the comments section.
