Interested in discussing the merits of John Kerry in the dining hall?

Princeton Review recently named the schools with the most liberal students in the country. Minnesota's Macalester College topped the list and North Carolina's Warren Wilson College (one of James Franco's many alma maters) came in second.

Oh yeah. Forgot about Reed. Probably could've been on the list.

I'm a little surprised not to see Oberlin or Wesleyan on the list. Not at all surprised to see Bard and Hampshire. VERY PLEASED to see my daughter's school, Macalester, top the list. Go Mac.

I'm a Mac grad. I can verify that it is very liberal! Mac rocks! Oberlin and Reed should also be on this list. Swarthmore, maybe . . . but really I think Swarthmore is increasingly moderate. At least that has been my experience.

In the Pacific NW, Evergreen U and Antioch University Seattle are far more liberal than University of Puget Sound.

Neither does grades. They do a written eval instead. You can negotiate just about anything. I negotiated my acceptance to Antioch. I was rejected at first but argued my way in.

They do these college stories all the time, but almost always leave out there location. Why make me google half the schools just to find out where they are?

I would love to see IQ test of the most liberal colleges, against the most conservative.

New College has one of the highest numbers of Fulbright scholars, might even by the highest among public schools.

I am sure it also has the largest number of indoctrinated Socialist who along the way have learned to hate their country.

So does Pitzer, which I believed ranked 1st in national liberal arts and 5th overall. Although the numbers are from the 2010 round of scholars.

"Conservative college" is an oxymoron.
02:14 AM on 08/17/2011
Oxymoron are all those supposed geniuses that know the books but have no real life experience. Obama comes to mind. I will put a Conservative before a Liberal any day of the week. It would be a no contest. Conservatives win. Not only do they have the degree but they are high achievers with "REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES" and accomplishments. Now if I mentioned Obama, "That would be an Oxymoron"!
