We've got the highlights here: Morning Rush: Best Morning Show Clips For August 17th, 2011 Morning Rush: Best Morning Show Clips For August 17th, 2011 1 of 6 'The Early Show' - Female College Athletes Face Higher Eating Disorder Risk In this clip, 'Early Show' correspondent Ben Tracy takes a look at one collegiate gymnast's struggle with eating disorders after leaving the highly rigorous sport. "At 24, Alyssa Kitasoe is fit and healthy, running almost every day, but four years ago, she was stuck in a vicious cycle of binge eating and purging, up to four times a day," Tracy reports as footage shows Kitasoe jogging on the sidewalk. Alyssa was a gymnast at UCLA, training many hours each week and watching her weight. After giving up the sport, Alyssa began quickly gaining weight. "I was always known as the gymnast, to my friends, my family. So once gymnastics was taken out of the equation, it was kinda like, you know, who am I?" Kitasoe explains, "That's what triggered my eating disorder." According to Kitasoe, she never took time to grieve the loss of her identity.
